Frequently Asked Questions 

  1. What should my child wear?Please ensure your child comes to Jr Chefs classes in comfortable clothing with closed in shoes, hair tied back and no jewellery. Again, open shoes are not permitted in the kitchen.
  2. Do I need to bring an apron?We supply an apron for each child, but if your child would like to bring their own, they are welcome to, but please ensure they are labelled.
  3. How can I make a payment?Bookings can be made on Trybooking.com.au. Payment must be made in advance to reserve your spot and avoid disappointment.
  4. How long does a the class go for?Our classes are 3hrs in duration and our sessions are generally 8.30-11.30 for 5-9yrs: 12.30-3.30pm for 10-14yrs, based enrolment times can change, please refer to the Book Now page for more information.
  5. How many children are in each class?Maximum of 14 children.
  6. Are parents allowed to attend the class?No sorry, there is limited space for participants only.
  7. My child has allergies, can you cater for their needs?Yes we can do our best to cater for your child’s needs. Please contact us directly regarding any allergies so we can make changes to the menu if necessary. Also ensure you have completed our Allergy Form at least 5 days prior to the class.
  8. What about other dietary requirements?We do our best to accommodate certain dietary requirements, however it is sometimes not possible with every dish within a particular class. As long as we know in advance, we do our very best to accommodate. Please email any dietary restrictions to us at the time of booking and well in advance of your class date.   9. How do I purchase/redeem a gift voucher?Through Trybooking.com
  10. Do you provide recipes to take home?Yes we most certainly do.
  11. Does my child need to bring anything to the class?No need as aprons, ingredients and all the utensils are provided. Water bottles are accepted, but please ensure they are labelled.

  13. Does my child need to bring food with them to eat?No we supply all the food your child will eat for the time that they spend with us. We also have a very strict policy that will not allow any food to be brought onto the premises due to allergy restrictions.
  14. Can we bring iPods, phones and other electronic devices?No sorry, we do not permit these items in the kitchen. If brought to the class, items will be kept by the cooking instructor and returned at the end of the class.
  15. When can I book for a class?Once our menu has been released, class bookings will be made available.
  16. If the class I want is full, can I join a waiting list for the next available space?You sure can. Please email us at jrchefs_inquire@outlook.com with your request and we will notify you of any cancelations.
  17. Do you do birthday parties and special event cooking classes? We no longer run bday parties but we do run special event classes. Please contact us through email for any enquiries jrchefs_inquire@outlook.com
